3 DIY Advent Calendars that are heartfelt, cost-effective, fun, and stress-free. There are so many options now for advent calendars. I have compiled a list of the ones that I love!
DIY Advent Calendars
- Advent Bags
First, we have these that are so nice that you can fill them with multiple smaller items or larger items. These little bags would be great to hang on the tree and are good for small spaces for storage later.

- Wood Advent House
Second, I love these wood advent houses, you can decorate and fill them to your liking. This one would be beautiful with the nativity scene on it. The nativity set is like this one HERE. Once you have it decorated how you want, you can number the boxes and fill them with whatever you’d like. I recommend getting a Cricut Maker, they are amazing and you can do just about anything with it. It has saved me tons of money in the past years between DIY gifts and personalizing everything. - Buying an Advent Calendar
There are so many options to choose from, find one that fits your family’s budget, lifestyle, and needs. My family is artificial free so we change ours up a bit, here are a few I thought my family would enjoy
Sometimes the easiest thing to do is to purchase one that’s already made for you. I have done that so many times when I am trying to spread my time wisely through all of my projects. But the most important thing to remember is to just do what you can. Christmas is not about the gifts, it’s about showing our kindness and joy to others!
